Schoolhouse Yogurt Helping Local Schools!
When the first Schoolhouse Yogurt opened by Lake of the Pines last August, the owner’s pledged to return 10% of its profits to the local schools. That’s exactly what they have done. So far over $3,000 has been donated to the districts in their area. They are very pleased to announce the opening of their second store in the Bel Air Shopping Center. This bright and fun new store is located two doors down from Bel Air next to the health food store. The shop opened in June and will continue the Schoolhouse Yogurt tradition 10% of all profits will be donated to the public school district where the shop is located. The recipient schools will be Placer High School, Auburn Elementary, Rock Creek Elementary and E.V. Cain. “We are very excited to be a part of the Auburn community and to have the opportunity to work with the schools in this area,”stated Suzi Yarborough, Schoolhouse Yogurt’s manager. “With today’s economic crises our schools are in need of funds more than ever.” Other fundraising opportunities are also available to other schools, youth groups and clubs. The new shop’s ample wall space will be devoted to student art work which will be contributed by the various teachers within the district. Schoolhouse Yogurt provides a fun self-serve opportunity to pick your favorite combinations of frozen yogurt, wet and dry assorted toppings, fresh fruit and various sauces. Your specially made frozen concoction varies in price based on weight. The store’s current hours are Monday through Thursday, 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Friday and Saturday, 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and Sunday, noon to 8:00 p.m. Please note the hours will be adjusted with daylight savings time going to a winter schedule. Schoolhouse Yogurt Helping Local Schools!
When the first Schoolhouse Yogurt opened by Lake of the Pines last August, the owner’s pledged to return 10% of its profits to the local schools. That’s exactly what they have done. So far over $3,000 has been donated to the districts in their area. They are very pleased to announce the opening of their second store in the Bel Air Shopping Center. This bright and fun new store is located two doors down from Bel Air next to the health food store. The shop opened in June and will continue the Schoolhouse Yogurt tradition 10% of all profits will be donated to the public school district where the shop is located. The recipient schools will be Placer High School, Auburn Elementary, Rock Creek Elementary and E.V. Cain. “We are very excited to be a part of the Auburn community and to have the opportunity to work with the schools in this area,”stated Suzi Yarborough, Schoolhouse Yogurt’s manager. “With today’s economic crises our schools are in need of funds more than ever.” Other fundraising opportunities are also available to other schools, youth groups and clubs.
